L'ASSOCIATION
Founded in 2007, Petites Mains Symphoniques is dedicated to the personal development of young people through music, while also opening them up to the wider world.
As a symphony orchestra made up exclusively of young people aged 6 to 24, we work to make music a tool that is accessible to everyone, regardless of social or economic background or disability.
Since its creation, the association has welcomed more than 10 000 children, a significant number of whom have gone on to pursue professional careers in music.

Three academies and festivals held each year, concerts throughout the year, television appearances and trips abroad offer young musicians a unique opportunity in France, including sectional rehearsals, full orchestra rehearsals and rewarding, formative stage experience..
Rather than focusing solely on individual performance, our teaching approach is a collective one, led by a team of professional musicians.
By playing together, young musicians go beyond simply mastering their own instruments and learn to listen to others, to show respect, to cooperate and to build something greater than themselves.

Beyond its group-based teaching, the association is a place where young people awaken to civic responsibility, through a deep commitment to societal causes such as climate, world peace, pollution and humanitarian action.
By taking part in charitable and community initiatives, young musicians discover the importance of getting involved and of putting their talent to work for just causes.
In this context, music becomes far more than mere entertainment. It is a tool for social change, giving young people the opportunity to grow, to express themselves and to build a future full of meaning and harmony.

AN ORCHESTRA WITH A PURPOSE

WHAT WE DO
The ambition of Petites Mains Symphoniques is to make the orchestra and choral singing accessible to everyone, regardless of social background, as exemplary tools for learning to live in harmony, to engage in dialogue and to surpass oneself through the joy of working together.

Introducing children to the discipline of orchestral playing and singing from the age of 6, and contributing to their education through instrumental and vocal practice.
Making music accessible to all, by opening orchestral practice to as many young people as possible and bringing concerts to a wide audience.
Promoting musical culture in France and around the world.
The association holds music sessions throughout the year to build the repertoire for each concert season.
